A High-Ranking Jordanian Media Delegation Visits Baghdad To Enhance The Horizons Of Joint Cooperation

Baghdad, 24 Jan. / NINA / -A high-ranking Jordanian media delegation arrived in the capital, Baghdad, Yesterday, Monday, on an official visit at the invitation of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate. The delegation was received by the head of the Federation of Arab Journalists, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, the head of the Iraqi Media Network, Nabil Jassem, and the Jordanian ambassador to Iraq, Montaser Al-Zoubi. The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, said in a joint press conference, "Today we received a high-level Jordanian media delegation that includes a group of heads and officials of the important media institutions in Jordan," noting that the delegation will conduct a series of important meetings with the presidencies and government agencies. He added, "We want the members of the delegation to see the landmarks of the capital, Baghdad, because they did not visit Baghdad earlier, but they will see Baghdad in its beauty and shining glory, as described by poets and as it is the landmarks of history and civilization." In turn, Jordanian Ambassador Montaser Al-Zoubi said, "The visit of the media delegation comes at an important time, with the aim of consolidating Jordanian-Iraqi relations." He added, "The high-profile media delegation includes general directors of media institutions in Jordan, editor-in-chiefs of a group of the most important press institutions in the Kingdom, and the Journalists Syndicate as well, as we all look forward to conveying honest and correct information about the nature of Jordanian-Iraqi relations." He explained, "The Jordanian media delegation will meet high-ranking Iraqi leaders politically, economically, legislatively and judicially, and will have an important opportunity to hear the Iraqi point of view, which we are very proud of." For her part, the Director General of the Jordan News Agency / Petra / Fayrouz Mobaideen affirmed that "Jordan's government and people always welcome the strengthening and consolidation of joint cooperation and fraternal relations, and we are happy to be present in Baghdad, which is dear to all of our hearts," praising the hospitality of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and media colleagues. In turn, the head of the Iraqi Media Network, Nabil Jassem, said, "We are honored today to receive a high-level Jordanian media delegation of professors and colleagues, heads of media institutions and chief editors in the capital, Baghdad, at the invitation of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate." He added, "This visit is important to deepen the bonds of understanding and cooperation between Baghdad and Amman, especially today we are on the threshold of a new phase of understanding and harmony and raising the level of cooperation between the two brotherly countries to more important stages." The high-ranking Jordanian media delegation includes Khaled Al-Shaqran, editor-in-chief of Al-Rai newspaper, Mustafa Riyalat, editor-in-chief of Al-Dustour newspaper, Makram Al-Tarawneh, editor-in-chief of Al -Ghad newspaper, Fayrouz Mubaideen, general manager of the Jordan News Agency / Petra/, Ibrahim Al-Bawared, director-general of the Radio and Television Corporation, and Dana Sayag, Director General of Kingdom Satellite TV, Hussein Al-Jaghbeer, Editor -in-Chief of Al-Anbaa newspaper, Ali Freihat from the Jordan News Agency, Amjad Salma Abdullah, Deputy Chairman of the Jordanian Journalists Syndicate, and Abdel-Wahhab Zaghilat, Chairman of the Freedoms Committee at the Federation of Arab Journalists./ End
