HH Sheikha Moza Meets International Committee of the Red Cross President

Doha, May 22 (QNA) - HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser on Wednesday met with director-general of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer who is currently on a visit to Doha. During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of cooperation between the ICRC and institutions under HH's sponsorship. In particular, they reviewed the challenges of providing education in conflict areas. The two sides also explored the possibility of collaborating to promote international humanitarian law, with HH highlighting the handbook on protecting education in insecurity and armed conflict that she launched in September during the U.N.
