HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa patronises a national poetry recitation event

Manama, Dec.18(BNA): His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa today patronised a national poetry recitation event marking Bahrain’s 47th National Day and the 19th anniversary of HM King Hamad’s accession to the throne, at Halaty Alneaim and Alsletah Youth Center. Upon arrival, HH Shaikh Mohammed was welcomed by Minister of Defence Affairs, Major-General HE Abdulla bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs, HE Aymen Tawfiq Al Moayyed, Muharraq Governor, HE Salman bin Isa Bin Hindi, and a number of senior government officials. HH Shaikh Mohammed underscored the role poetry continues to play as a repository of the region’s rich history, culture and language, identifying it as a true reflection of the Arabian spirit. HH Shaikh Mohammed concluded by congratulating all those who had contributed to the success of the event and praised the youth of Bahrain for their commitment to maintaining their distinct national identity while fully participating as active global citizens. Assistant Undersecretary for Youth Centres and Commission, Dr. Shaikh Sager bin Salman Al Khalifa, commended HH Shaikh Mohammed’s commitment to advancing Bahrain’s youth-related initiatives. The president of the Halaty Alneaim and Alsletah Youth Center, Mr. Rashid Al Nuaimi, extended his congratulations to HM King Hamad, HRH the Prime Minister, and HRH the Crown Prince on the occasion of Bahrain’s National Day from the 16th to the 17th of December, which marks the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as a Muslim Arab country in 1783 under the reign of Ahmed Al Fateh and the 19th anniversary of HM the King's accession to the throne.
