HH the Qatar Emir Hosts a Luncheon Banquet in Honour of Connect Arab World Summit 2012 Guests

Doha, March 06 (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani hosted a luncheon banquet at the Sheraton Doha Hotel here on Tuesday in honour of Their Excellencies the arab leaders and heads of the participant delegations attending the Connect Arab States Summit 2012 , now in session in Doha. The banquet was attended by HE Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah and a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs and the ministers. The Summit is organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the specialized agency of the United Nations for information and communication technologies (ICTs), in partnership with and the Arab League. It aims to advance and update the telecommunications and Information technology in all the arab countries with emphasis on the Least Developed Countries, revitalize such a sector for creating labour opportunities to the Arab youth, exploit the modern technologies for supporting the economies of the region and achieve comprehensive and sustainable development.(QNA)
