HH the Heir Apparent Opens Qatar Career Fair 2013

Doha, April 01 (QNA) - HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani patronized on Monday the opening of the 6th edition of Qatar Career Fair 2013 at Qatar National Convention Center. The six-day event, entitled "Write the Next Chapter in Qatar's Success", is organized by the Emiri Diwan, Qatar Foundation for Education, Sciences and Community Development, Qatar Petroleum, Qatar University and the Ministry of Labor. Several of Their Excellencies Sheikhs and Ministers attended the opening ceremony. HH the Heir Apparent toured the Fair where he was briefed about the four "Villages" which the venue is divided into on basis of various sectors, namely: Government, Energy and Industry, Finance and Business, Education, Health and Sports. HH the Heir Apparent also listened to an explanation about the recruitment plans and the vision to implement the objectives of the Fair. Later, HH the Heir Apparent toured the photo gallery, organized on the sidelines of the Qatar Career Fair. Over 140 public and private sector companies are taking part in the Fair this year. Qatar Career Fair aims at empowering Qatari youth to take charge of their own future, providing nationals with the ideal environment to understand their prospects in the Qatar job market in terms of career orientation, key areas of employment, skill requirements and training and development opportunities. The event is aimed at creating a dynamic future workforce of Qatari nationals, which supports the human development pillar of Qatar Vision 2030 and National Development Strategy. It also offers several programs and initiatives aimed at promoting professional awareness among students and graduates; and developing their skills and abilities through courses, workshops, and other professional activities.
