HH the Heir Apparent Opens "Made in Qatar 2013"

Doha, January 16 (QNA) - HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani patronized on Wednesday the opening of this year s edition of Made in Qatar exhibition, which is organized by the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Industry. A number of Their Excellencies Ministers, Qatari businessmen and guests attended the opening ceremony of the three-day event, held at the Doha Exhibition Center. HH the Heir Apparent toured the sponsoring and participating companies in the exhibition and the pavilions of the traditional craft, where HH asserted the State's support for projects operated by the Ministry of Social Affairs Department of Productive Families Development. During the tour, HH the Heir Apparent listened to an explanation about projects and industries. The exhibition aims to attract investments in the industry sector, contributing to its revitalization as one of the most important on an economic level, with its role in sustainable development and achieving the diversification of national income sources, creating new jobs and replacing imports. Participation is open to all producing companies and local factories in the country, while firms are grouped into sections; Manufacturing, Food Industries, Petrochemicals as well as General, Medium and Small Enterprises. A number of lectures and seminars will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition, where prominent industry experts will discuss industry, how to boost it in the Gulf states, challenges, in addition to honoring some of the leading industrial companies in the country.
