HH the Heir Apparent Lays Foundation Stone for Tozeur Desert Resort

Tunis, July 17 (QNA) - HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Tunisian Prime Minister, HE Hamadi Jebali laid the foundation stone for the Tozeur Desert Resort, a Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company's project, during a ceremony held this afternoon in the Tunisian city of Tozeur. Addressing the ceremony, Eng. Mohamed Ali al Hadfah, the group CEO, hailed the foundation stone for this project, which is the first investment for Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company here. He praised the Qatari-Tunisian bilateral ties, which are witnessing a 'quantum leap' in various areas reflecting harmony and mutual trust between the leaders and people of Qatar and Tunisia, looking forward to further enhance bilateral ties so as to support development and growth in Tunisia. The project will provide an opportunity to create employment and develop Tourism in the Sahara, Eng. al Hadfah explained. The project includes luxury hotel suites, health and spa components, retail outlets, conference and business facilities, an amphitheatre and an "Arabian Night" tent, in addition to desert sports and tennis courts, he added.
