HH the Emir of Qatar Leaves Algeria

Algiers, January 07 (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani left Algiers after a one-day official visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. HH the Emir was seen off, at Houari Boumediene airport, by the Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. The President of the Council of the Nation Abdelkhader Bensalah, President of the People's National Assembly Mohammed Al-Arabi Ould Khalifa, the First Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and President of the Constitutional Council Tayeb Belaiz; along with several Algerian ministers and high-ranking officials, the Qatari Ambassador to Algeria Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Humaidi and Algerian Ambassador to Qatar Abdul Fattah Zayyani were on hand to see off HH the Emir. HH the Emir was accompanied during the visit by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, and a high-level official delegation. Upon his departure HH the Emir sent a cable to the Algerian President expressing his thanks and gratitude for the hospitality and warm reception he and his accompanying delegation received, wishing the Algerian President good health and the brotherly Algerian people further progress and prosperity.
