HH the Emir of Qatar Arrives in Cairo to Attend 12th Islamic Summit

Doha, February 06 (QNA) - HH the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani ,arrived in Cairo at noon on Wednesday for a visit to Egypt during which he participates in the 12th session of the Islamic Summit Conference, due to kick off later today. Welcoming HH the Emir and the official accompanying delegation upon their arrival at Cairo International Airport Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Wael Al-Ma'adawi, HE Qatar's Ambassador to Egypt Saif Muqaddam Al-Buainein, who is also his country's permanent delegate to the Arab League and the embassy staff together with a number of senior Egyptian officials. Upon his arrival, HH the Emir gave a statement in which he expressed in his name and on behalf of the Qatari people, heartfelt greetings to Egyptian President Dr. Mohamed Morsi and the brotherly people of Egypt wishing them the best of health and more welfare and prosperity. HH the Emir also conveyed greetings and best wishes to the Muslim leaders participating in the Cairo 12th Islamic summit which we hope it would contribute to boosting position of our Islamic nation, enhancing cooperation among its countries and intensifying efforts to repulse and counter the challenges facing it. HH the Emir asked Allah the Almighty to help us all to the good and elevation of our nation. HH the Emir is accompanied by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and a high-level delegation. (QNA)
