HH the Emir Outlines Working Plan for New Era of Development: Editorials

Doha, June 27 (QNA) - Qatari daily newspapers featured on Thursday the first speech of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani after taking the reins of power in the country, in which HH the Emir outlined the working map for a new era that requires all to unite and work hard to continue the development path initiated by HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The papers said that HH the Emir's speech reflected his great sense of responsibility and awareness of the obligations required in the coming stage. They expressed full confidence that HH the Emir will give top priority to the interests of his people and will lead the State of Qatar to more success and bigger achievements. Arabic daily Arrayah said that HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani set up the main features of Qatar's internal and external policies which give the prominence to the interest of homeland and citizens, and to the investment in the Qatari citizen as the most important factor in development. The paper lauded HH the Emir's appreciation to HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani who, HH the Emir said, managed to achieve a quiet, gradual and comprehensive revolution in all aspects of the State of Qatar, without exception, to make in a few years a true miracle in this region, and provide a unique paradigm for its peoples. For its part, Al-Watan daily said that HH the Emir's speech reflected Qatar's firm stances and clear policies towards all regional and international issues. The paper also highlighted the formation of the new government chaired by HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani, who has accomplished big achievements in the Ministry of Interior. The First Emiri speech represents a new start to activate the performance of the government within the framework of a specific ministerial assignments that open the way for Qatari youths to increase their contributions to making the future of their homeland. Meanwhile, Al-Arab daily paper said that HH the Emir's speech confirmed that the coming stage will witness big development at the local level, and will need the determination of youth and the wisdom of adults in order to enhance the achievements. The paper highlighted HH the Emir's vision for development which does not mean only a rise in the rate of per capita income, but rather a development that is based on the principle of productivity at work and devotion to the homeland.
