HH the Emir Holds Talks with Colombian President

Bogota, February 16 (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on Friday held a round of official talks with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos at the Colombian presidential palace of Casa de Narino. HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani attended the session along with members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir. It was attended as well by a number of ministers and senior officials from the Colombian side. The session discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing and developing them in all fields. A range of regional and international issues of mutual concern were also reviewed. After the meeting, HH the Emir and the Colombian president witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and Memorandums of Understanding, including an agreement on air services between the two governments, and a MoU in the sports field between Qatar Olympic Committee and Colombian Olympic Committee. In addition, a MoU was signed between Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Colombian Confederation of Chambers of Commerce, along with another two in the fields of mining and investment. HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and President Santos held a meeting before the official talks attended by HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and Colombian Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin.
