HE the Qatar Minister of Business and Trade Meets Vietnamese Labor Minister

Doha, April 22 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Business and Trade Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulaziz Al Thani met on Sunday with Vietnamese minister Labor, War Invalids and Social Welfar Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, on the side line of the meeting of the Qatari-Vietnamese Joint Commission for Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation. During the meeting, they discussed topics related to the joint commission's work in addition to several issues of mutual interest. The State of Qatar and the Republic of Vietnam are bound by several trade agreements in the economic, trade and investment fields, in addition to an agreement on the protection and encouragement of investments. The value of Qatar's exports to Vietnam in 2012, amounted to about QAR 737 million , compared with QAR167.5 million in the year 2010, with 340 percent increase, while the value of imports from Vietnam in 2012 amounted to QAR 416.4 million, compared with QAR103 million in 2010, a rise by 304.4 percent.
