HE Prime Minister Phones Kofi Annan

Doha, February 29 (QNA) -HE Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani on Wednesday phoned Kofi Annan, the joint UN-Arab league Special Envoy to Syria . Over the phone conversation, they reviewed the latest developments of the Syrian situation. Annan, who was named joint UN-Arab league representative to Syria last week, faces the difficult task of brokering a ceasefire and political transition between the regime and opposition groups. (QNA)
