HE Minister of Culture Meets a Delegation of Russian University

Doha , February 01 (QNA) - HE Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari met here on Wednesday a Russian university delegation headed by Dr. Irena Eddross, in the presence of the Qatari delegation escorting the Russian delegation. The two sides reviewed aspects of cooperation between the ministry and the russian university within the context of the exchange of cultural and various expertise between them and through the arab states'researches and poilcy studies centre in the Russian University in Moscow. For her part, Dr. Irena Eddross, who is also manager of the Arab states' researches and policy studies centre in teh said University pointed to the crucial part of the visit in the culture exchange, stating that the Qatari youth has proven their abilities in various fields either through discussion or dialogue. Eddross added that the main goal of the visit is to enhance ties between the Arab and Western countries in creating an arena for discussion and comprehension that brings perspectives between both sides close. She said that at the end of the day we all live in a world that became a smaller village with all communications, and internet that technology brought in bringing all countries close. Moreover, the department of youth activities has set up an entertaining, cultural programme for the Russian delegation that encloses 15 boys and girls who are the University and post graduates studies . In addition, a team of Qatari boys and girls has been arranged to accompany the Russian delegation. The visit agenda for the Russian delegation includes a visit to Qatar Tourism Authority, Qatar Financial Center, The Pearl Qatar, Girls' Creativity Center, Cultural Village KATARA, Aspire Zone, Weaponry Museum as well as shopping malls including the City Center, Qatar Islamic Cultural Center (FANAR), Al Jazeera News channel, Al Dhakhira Youth Center, Museum of Islamic Arts (MIA), a Desert Safari to Sealine, in addition to water activities of free tours.
