HE Minister Of Culture Attends Seminar On Enriching Dialogue In Arab Spring Countries

Doha , June 08 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari attended a seminar of enriching cultural dialogue and the impact of Arab Spring countries. The event was organized by The Cultural department of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage. Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood leader Dr. Mohammed Al Beltagy and Egyptian political researcher Dr. Amar Ali Hassan lectured in the seminar that was moderated by Editor-In-Chief of Qatar Tribune newspaper Dr. Hassan Al Ansari. Egyptian Ambassador in Doha Mohamed Morsy attended the seminar, as did a number of Qataris and residents who are keen on cultural and political issues. HE the Minister gave a speech reviewing the cultural and literary impact Egypt had on the Arab world, through prominent writers such as Taha Hussein, Al Aqad, Tawfeq Al Hakeem and Naguib Mahfouz among others. The Minister also welcomed the two guests, hoping that the seminar would yield positive results on the cultural and political life in Egypt. Hassan reviewed Egypt's history with political dialogue. He stressed that there was still a chance for it to work in the present, as long as all the forces commit to tolerance. He maintained that tolerance did not necessarily mean compromise. For his part, Al Beltagy reviewed the challenges that face a successful political dialogue in Egypt now a days. He said that the challenges were all related to the behavior of all political forces in Egypt nowadays. He stressed that it was important for Egyptians to steer away from stereotypes, if they were to set a common goal for all Egyptians. (QNA)
