HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Honours Youth Centre Heads Over UNCTAD
Doha, June 03 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari met Sunday morning with the heads of youth centres which participated in the Cultural Village exhibition, held on the sidelines of the recent United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Dr. Al Kuwari attributed the success of the conference to the unlimited support of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani as well as the efforts of participants and Qatar's men who worked on the organization resulting in the best output possible, adding that it has demonstrated to the world that Qatar's status has been reached through immaculate organization, administration, and advancement on all levels. HE the Minister of Culture indicated the praise of over 7,000 UNCTAD attendees from all over the world towards the State of Qatar.
Dr. Al Kuwari has also expressed pleasure over the quality of the exhibition and the amount of effort which is an indicator of the youth's level of excellence which dazzled the world, ensuring the inclusion of entertainment in the UNCTAD with participants learning about Qatar's beautiful heritage and tradition.
HE the Minister of Culture honoured the heads of the youth centre boards with award shields and certificates of appreciation, thanking them for their efforts in the important international event and encouraging them to apply more efforts and participation in upcoming events in development of their centres.
For his part, Qatar Centre for Voluntary Activity (QCVA) Financial Secretary Abdullah Hamed gave a speech on behalf of HE QCVA Chairperson of the Board Dr. Mona bint Suhaim Al Thani, indicating the Center's role in the UNCTAD and the participation of over 1,260 of its members. Hamed explained the patriotic nature of the participation asserting the need to exert all energy and creativity in the love of the State of Qatar.
A number of youth leaders from the ministry have attended the ceremony in addition to the Qatar Photographic Society Chairman, the Youth Center for Artistic Creativity Chairman, representatives from the Qatar Science Club, Qatari Society of Carrier Pigeons, the Snipers' Association, Al Jasra Social and Cultural Club, Al Kaaban, Barzan, and Al Thakhira youth centres, as well as the Girl's Creativity Centre.
