HE Minister Of Business And Trade Inaugurates Project Qatar

Doha , May 06 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani, HE Minister of Business and Trade Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulaziz Al Thani inaugurated today the 10th Project Qatar Exhibition. A number of ranking officials attended the opening ceremony of the event. HE the Minister toured the various pavilions of the exhibition and praised the good organization and the level of representation of the exhibition. Some 50 countries and more than 2100 companies participated in the 10th edition of Project Qatar. The exhibition is held in 62000 square meters. HE the Minister told the press today that the increase in the number of exhibitors each year reflected the status of the Qatari economy, which relies on the integration of the public and private sectors. HE the Minister also commended the progress made by the private sector in the past few years, particularly after it gained experience by working with companies of national expertise. Project Qatar will hold in exhibition this year entitled Energy Qatar 2013. The exhibition will be a platform for launching innovative products and services, strategic planning, environmental friendly approaches and technologies to Qatar's booming markets. Energy Qatar 2013 is the country's first Energy and Electricity show. Companies from Canada, India, Korea, Romania, Spain and Thailand participate in Project Qatar for the first time. The organizing company said that last year's project Qatar was a huge hit. Dubai Export Development Corporation signed 17 deals with international and Qatari companies worth $60 million. (QNA)
