HE Deputy Prime Minister Endorses IAD Plan

Doha, March 11 (QNA) - HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud endorsed Sunday the general plan of the Institute of Administrative Development (IAD) for 2012/2013, based on Qatar's National Vision 2030 and the country's National Developmental Strategy 2011-2016. The IAD will focus on the Human development factor which is one of four factors of the vision that reflects the attention of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani paid to the achievement sustainable development and keenness on securing decent living for the Qatari people generation after another. HE the Deputy Prime Minister noted that career development is regarded as one of the main gateways to achieving sustainable development and rendering human resources able to bear their responsibilities and job duties in order to upgrade the level of skills in the public sector to improve government bodies’ performance. HE Al Mahmoud meanwhile praised the outstanding partnership between the IAD and all ministries, authorities, corporations and other government bodies, adding that such partnership resulted in the IAD general plan which expresses the factual reality required for the capacity development of individuals and for enabling them to perform their works competently and effectively. HE the Deputy Prime Minister noted that one of the qualities of the plan is that it was designed to meet the needs of government bodies such as the diversified training programmes covering management development areas including capacity building, leadership, and management and behavioral in addition to specialized programmes which support building of competent work force that enhances functional commitment. Al-Mahmoud also referred to seminars, meetings and conferences for the exchange of expertise, experiences and distinguished practices, explaining that part of the plan was allocated for programmes specially designed to meet the specialist training needs not included in the general training plan. These programmes were designed in response to the interest of some government bodies in addition to training pogrammes for employees with special needs to meet their special training requirements. Concluding, the Deputy Prime Minister called on government bodies, especially human resources departments to benefit from this plan to upgrade the state employees’ performance and enhance their capacities and thanked all government bodies that responded to the study of training needs.
