HE Al Mahmoud Meets Head of US Delegation to Darfur Reconstruction Conference

Doha, April 07 (QNA) - HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud met on Sunday with Joseph Stafford, head of the US delegation to the International Conference on Reconstruction and Development in Darfur, which kicked off in Doha this morning. The two sides reviewed the positive developments in Darfur peace process in light of the final peace agreement, signed here yesterday between the government of Sudan and the Justice and Equality Movement. They also reviewed the topics listed on the agenda of the Darfur Reconstruction Conference. The meeting was attended by the US Ambassador to Qatar Susan Laila Ziadeh and several officials at the Cabinet General Secretariat. (QNA)
