HE Al Attiyah Inaugurates 'Innovate Qatar 2013'

Doha, March 18 (QNA) - HE the Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah inaugurated on Monday evening 'Innovate Qatar 2013' exhibition at the Doha Exhibition Centre. Al Attiyah, who toured different pavilions of the exhibition which dedicated to showcase new tech and innovations, was given a full explanation by the organizers. He also expressed his admiration for the impressive innovations and technology solutions on display. Talking to reporters, HE Al Attiyah said such exhibitions give an idea on the latest developments in the world of new technologies and innovations, pointing to innovations being displayed at this exhibition such as the exploitation of clean energy and green energy, the usage of energy sources for community service and the reduction of emissions. The Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority underscored how important are such exhibitions in casting light on various innovations and in keeping pace with developments in the world. He added that Qatari government has been always supporting ideas and innovations in various fields and disciplines, considering the exhibition as a golden opportunity to all relevant government agencies to cooperate and interact with exhibited innovations. Innovate Qatar aims to engage visitors and exhibitors by organizing activities and exhibition highlights that will foster a spirit of innovation. The exhibition in its first edition, is expected to welcome more than 5,000 visitors during the period from 18 to 20 March. (QNA)
