HE Abdullah Al-Attiyah Participates in Climate Change Conf. Reception Ceremony

Tokyo, March 02 (QNA) - HE Chairman of Qatar's Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, who is also the president elected of UN Climate Change Conference COP 18, participated on Friday in a reception ceremony organized by Brazilian ambassador to Japan Marcos Gavao and attended by Japanese Environment Minister Goshi Hosono and Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Joe Nakano. "We all know that climate change is one of the most pressing challenges the international community must address. This is important to facilitate negotiations in a cooperative and constructive manner. Even though we aren't negotiating today, I'm asking the participants to offer their views honestly and transparently," HE Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah said as the ceremony began. HE said that he and his team will listen to all the viewpoints in a transparent and comprehensive way. Qatari ambassador to Japan HE Yousif Mohamed Bilal attended the ceremony along with members of the delegation accompanying HE Chairman of Qatar's Administrative Control and Transparency Authority.
