HBKU to Host Testing Awareness Week for Secondary School Students
Doha, February 05 (QNA) - Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, invites all secondary school students to attend the HBKU Test Center s upcoming Testing Awareness Week that will be held on February 10, 11, 13 and 14, 2013.
Students will have the opportunity to learn more about the SAT, ACT, TOEFL, and IELTS tests. On February 11, the Center will offer sessions focused solely on the IELTS test, in cooperation with the British Council.
The week will deliver important facts about testing in an engaging and fun format through games, activities, and workshops. Students will also be provided with online resources and tips on preparing for the standardized tests.
They will also have the opportunity to participate in individual sessions about testing and the registration process.
"The goal of this week is for students to become familiar with the types of tests required for university admission," said Sirine Sidani, Testing Services Coordinator at Hamad bin Khalifa University. "Our hope is that with the right tools and information, students will be better prepared to do well."
HBKU s Test Center is one of the largest test centers in Qatar and offers more than 10 different types of tests throughout the year, including specialized tests for school groups. In the past year, over 5000 students visited the HBKU Test Center to take a standardized test.
Testing Awareness Week is just one of many outreach initiatives that take place each year through the HBKU Test Center. (QNA)
