Haniyyeh Praises Qatar’s Support

Doha, February 02 (QNA) - Head of the disbanded Palestinian government Ismail Haniyyeh has announced that the State of Qatar will rebuild what was destroyed by the Israeli occupation forces during the last war on Gaza Strip. In an address during a mass rally at the Al-Arabi Club in Doha tonight, Haniyyeh said " this commitment made by HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani was confirmed during our meetings in Doha''. The decision of which we were informed about during this visit confirms that the State of Qatar is ready and rather made practical steps to reconstruct all that was destroyed by the occupation forces during the war on Gaza, Haniyyeh said "This is Qatar which stood by Palestine, the Palestinian people and the besieged Gaza and supported it at political, information, financial, psychological and all levels. This support moves on the rhythm of commitment to principles and embracement of the Palestinian cause, the nation’s pivotal cause," Haniyyeh said. He added that "the Qatari support is what we heard yesterday and the day before during our meeting with HH the Emir, HH the Heir Apparent and the leadership here in Doha, and what we lived during the war on Gaza when many abandoned Gaza or rather conspired against it. Qatar, then, moved and its Emir moved to call on Arab states to hold an emergency Arab summit to repel that ugly aggression and to provide support to the Palestinian people in Gaza". The head of the disbanded Palestinian Government expressed thanks to the State of Qatar for the generous hosting of "our liberated heroes who came out of the occupation jails with their heads high". He said the State of Qatar welcomed them and "they are living on its soil as if they are living on the soil of Palestine because this is also our country and homeland. (QNA)
