Hadithi: Military Operations In Kirkuk Do Not Close Dialogue's Doors

Baghdad, Iraq (NINA) - "The ongoing military operations in Kirkuk are not closed to the dialogue doors," a spokesman for Prime Minister's office Saad al-Hadithi said.
Al-Hadithi told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): "The military operations in Kirkuk does not mean closing the doors of dialogue and what is going is practicing the federal government's constitutional and sovereign powers with respect to the disputed areas and the need to be subject to the federal authority as stipulated in the Constitution as well as in the file of oil wealth, which are for all Iraqis and must be managed by the federal government and not by parties and people to benefit a certain party or personal at the expense of the people, including our Kurdish citizens. "
He added that "the Iraqi forces are imposing security and law and enforce federal decisions and ensure the protection of Iraqi citizens and their interests in these areas for all components and also to protect the government facilities in Kirkuk and foil any attempt to change the constitutional and legal reality of these areas and to address any attempt to expand and impose policy contrary to the Constitution "He said.
Al-Hadithi considered this as "part of the sovereign powers of the federal government according to the Constitution and the local government in the region, if wants dialogue, should adhere and approve the provisions of the Constitution to maintain the unity of the country and respect Iraqi national sovereignty and respect the sovereignty of the Iraqi federal government in the disputed areas and respect the sovereignty and authority of the federal government in the file of foreign trade and natural resources and border crossings and adopt Constitution in any dialogue.
"If the local government in the region is sincere to resolve the crisis, it must recognize the provisions of the Constitution and yesterday when a statement issued by the two Kurdish parties said resorting to dialogue and the Constitution, which states Iraq is one country and cannot be divided and it must impose the authority of the federal government on all Iraqi territory.
Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has stressed that our constitutional duty requires extending the federal authority and impose security and protect national wealth in Kirkuk.
