Government committed to the constitution, law

Manama, Nov.10 (BNA): Information, Parliament Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi stressed the Government's commitment to the constitution and the law provisions which are in vigor in the Kingdom of Bahrain. "The law would be enforced on anyone found in breach of the law, exercising an unlicensed activity ", he said, responding to a parliamentary proposal regarding tattooing. Addressing the weekly parliamentary session, he said that any violation would be dealt with in accordance with the law provisions. Responding to a proposal calling on the government to study the cases of fishermen who are not paid pensions, he said that the social insurance umbrella benefits many eligible categories. "The General Organisation for Social Insurance is the party which is mandated to cover all registered Bahrainis", he said, pointing out that fishermen who are not paid pensions receive social aid and financial assistance. Al-Hammadi dismissed the need to add more categories, pointing out that GOSI allows fishermen to pay pension subscriptions on an optional basis.
