Gold robber arrested

Manama, Aug. 18 (BNA): The Director-General of the Capital Governorate Police on Tuesday announced the arrest of an Asian man wearing women’s clothes who had robbed BD2,400 worth of jewellery from a shop at the gold souq in Manama. The robber was nabbed within two hours of the case being reported. The Director-General said that an investigation team collected the evidence that led to the identification and arrest of the suspect and the seizure of the gold from him. He said that legal steps will be taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecutor.
