GOIC Secretary Praise Manufacturing Industries Company Joining of GCC Industrial Conference Sponsors

Doha, January 04 (QNA) - Secretary General of Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) Abdul Aziz bin Hamad Al-Aqeel has praised the Qatari companies sponsoring of the 13th Gulf Industrialists' Conference and the International Exhibition to be held in concurrence under the theme: "The Knowledge based Industries and the Modern Technologies" during the period from January 17 to 19. GOIC Secretary-General said a statement issued by the Organization on the occasion Qatar Manufacturing Industries Company's (QIMD) joining of Conference's sponsors that such sponsorship confirms the company's significant role in supporting GOIC's activities and the strong relationship between them since years, in addition to the leading role played by Qatar in support of the industrial sector in the region as part of the GCC endeavor aiming to achieve industrial integration among GCC countries. The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting has announced on December 25 the joining of Qatar Petroleum as a gold sponsor of the Conference and the accompanying exhibition. For his part, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Manufacturing Industries Company Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah Al Ansari said the company's gold sponsorship plays an important role in 13th Gulf Industrialists Conference in support of economic activity in the region and also comes in consistence with the company's investment activity from the perspective of economic development in the broadest sense. The aim of the Conference is to encourage GCC countries to achieve transformation towards the knowledge-based industrial production, to highlight the basic requirements for knowledge-based industries and to showcase some applications of knowledge-based industries which are appropriate for these countries. During the conference successful business models in some countries aimed to shift towards knowledge-based industries, while giving an adequate opportunity for global industrial companies specialized in this area to showcase their products at the accompanying exhibition. The conference will examine the technological development in knowledge-based industries and areas that can be applied in GCC countries. It will also highlight the role of biotechnology and nanotechnology in the development of petrochemical and manufacturing industries, and water desalination, electricity production, pharmaceutical industries, advanced materials in the GCC States in addition to discussing the infrastructure elements such as legal and political frameworks and procedures, researches and applications of the establishment of knowledge-based industries in these states with the presentation of promising investment opportunities in this area.(QNA)
