GOIC , Bahrain Development Bank Sign A MoU

Doha, February 26 (QNA) -The Doha- based Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) the consulting knowledge-based organization, said Tuesday that it has signed with Bahrain development bank (BDB) a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming to enhance joint cooperation and coordination in fields of joint interest. A press release issued here today , said the three-year MoU aims to realize cherished interest to the two parties via joint cooperation and coordination and establishing labour partnerships between them. According to such MoU ,the two sides will exchange information and data, feasibility studies and investment opportunities, and will be preparing for the study and promotion of industrial investment opportunities in the field of small and medium industries, and preparation of the technical diagnostic studies to identify the ample opportunities and production obstacles faced by these industries, with an examination of the small and medium plants and providing the appropriate recommendations to them. Both sides also agreed in their MoU to work for increasing the competitiveness of the small and medium enterprises at the local, regional and international levels through the exchange of experiences available to both sides. It is worth to mention thsat GOIC aims to maintain its leading role in the field of information and industrial publishing through continuous development of databases by updating, adding, enriching the content of the portal and providing trusted industrial, social and economic information that meet the needs of those interested in economic and social development issues, decision makers, researchers in the public and private sectors and among investors and business leaders in the GCC States and in Yemen which joined GOIC in 2009. The GOIC was founded in the year 1976 by the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) member states, namely Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman , Qatar , Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), plus Yemen, with their mandate to foster industrial development across the GCC region. GOIC is a knowledge hub and industrial investment promotion catalyst, for the purpose of industrial diversification and development within the GCC countries through a complete set of specialized research, information, consultancy, training and technical services. GOIC also provides solutions and recommendations that support the business operation through: developing a better product and market selection and positioning including market research, elaborating advanced techniques on Energy Conservation and Waste Management; Improving Productivity and Protecting the Environment. Pre-feasibility and Feasibility Studie GOIC is diligently seeking through the TCD program to increase individual and organizational capacities in the industrial sector of the GCC countries and Yemen through a number of campaigns and courses. The Strategic objectives for GOIC s strategy 2012-2016 1. Increase of the operational efficiency, development of performance and achievement of continuous growth in GOIC s operational revenues. 2. Support of the activities of future-targeted industrial sectors in the Member States. 3. Promotion of industrial investment opportunities, and provision of information and updated reports in the field of industry and industrial economics and marketing. (QNA)
