Gigantic funeral procession for Bahraini martyrs of duty

Manama, Sept. 6 (BNA): Crowds of citizens from across the kingdom today took part in the funeral processions of the brave Bahraini soldiers who were martyred while performing their sacred national duty within the "Operation Restoring Hope" in brotherly Yemen. At the Hunainiya Valley cemetery in Riffa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa headed the funeral procession, alongside the Commander of the Royal Guard Brigadier-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Guard's Special Force Commander Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, senior officials and senior BDF and National Guard officers. "As long as we stand shoulder to shoulder with our brothers in these battles, victory is near," Shaikh Nasser said, lauding the Bahraini people's cohesion and solidarity during the funeral of martyr of duty Abdul Monem Ali Hussain. He affirmed that Bahraini soldiers are performing their national duties in the best way through their participation in the battle along their Saudi and UAE brothers, noting that Bahraini martyrs are a source of pride for all Bahrainis. He also said that the heroism of Bahraini soldiers is an honour for the BDF which, he said, is at the front line, defending the borders, security and stability of brotherly countries. "This majestic scene will make us more determined and resolved to remain strong and cohesive, and victory is near," Shaikh Nasser added. Information Affairs Minister Isa bin Abdulrahman Al-Hammadi said that the martyrs of duty had sacrificed their lives in the service of the homeland, noting that their heroism will be recorded in the kingdom's history with golden letters. He prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow His Mercy on the martyrs and accommodate them in Paradise. "This is a day of honour for all those who served the nation," Southern Governor Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa said, noting that the Bahraini soldiers'' heroism affirms GCC countries' solidarity and readiness to stand together against everything that poses a threat to their security and stability. Al-Ghatam mosque's Imam and preacher Sheikh Saleh Abdulkareem expressed pride in the martyrdom of Bahraini soldiers, praising the outstanding qualities of martyr of duty Abdul Monem Ali Hussain. Martyr Abdul Monem Ali Hussain's father said that he had received the information of his son's death with mixed feelings of happiness and sadness, noting that he was martyred while defending Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. At the Muharraq Cemetery, crowds of citizens from across the nation, led by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Royal Guard's Special Force Commander Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant-General Youssef bin Ahmed bin Hussain Al-Jalahma. Muharraq Governor Salman bin Hindi, senior state officials, BDF officers and soldiers, MPS, Shura members and religious figures, attended the funeral process of the martyrs of duty. "As BDF affiliates, we are committed to our principles in defending our country and Nation, and victory is near," Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad said. He paid homage to the martyrs and praised their patriotism and dedication in serving the kingdom. "I served with them for eight years, and work alongside those heroes is an honour," he added, extending sincere appreciation and sympathy to their families. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest their souls in eternal peace. On allocating a day for martyrs, he affirmed that they deserve every kind of appreciation for the sacrifices they make for the sake of their country and Nation. Mourners expressed sincere appreciation to BDF affiliates for constant readiness to defend the nation through their participation in the Arab Coalition. They stressed that the martyrdom of Bahraini soldiers while performing their sacred duty as part of the "Operation Restoring Hope" is a source of pride for all Bahraini, GCC and Arab citizens. They prayed Allah Almighty to protect BDF affiliates and bless them with victory.
