Germany positively evaluates activities of Kyrgyzstan in transition to green economy

Bishkek, June 24, 2022. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan hosted intergovernmental consultations between the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany (Germany). Head of the Kyrgyz delegation - Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kanat Abdrakhmanov noted that Germany is one of the main development partners, which in 30 years of cooperation has allocated more than EUR 400 million for projects in the sectors of sustainable economic development and public health, the Economy Ministry reported. Thanks to the support of the German government, many projects have been implemented, the results of which are the creation of new jobs, ensuring growth of incomes of the population, improving the competitiveness of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic. In turn, head of the German delegation Dagmar Krenz stressed the intentions of the leadership of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development to continue cooperation through European, multilateral, regional and non-governmental tools. The German side also positively assessed the consistent activities and progress made in the transition to a green economy. During intergovernmental consultations, the sides discussed current issues of jointly implemented projects in health and sustainable economic development. In addition, the consultations discussed projects in the field of green economy and sustainable development, education, housing finance, agricultural value chains and regional development.
