Germany’s oil import from Azerbaijan exceeds 2.4 mln tons

Germany's oil import from Azerbaijan decreased to 2.461 million tons in January-October of 2011 compared to 2.991 million tons during the same period of 2010, Reuters reported referring to Germany's economic and foreign trade statistics office BAFA.
According to the official data, Germany imported 275,000 tons of oil from Azerbaijan in October 2011.
Germany's oil import from Kazakhstan amounted to 6.024 mln tons in January-October of 2011 compared to 6.670 mln tons during the same period of 2011. Kazakhstan exported to Germany 600,000 tons of oil in October of 2011.
Azerbaijan has seven oil and gas pipelines for the export of its energy resources. In particular, Azerbaijan exports oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC), Baku-Supsa and Baku-Novorossiysk pipelines.
Oil is transported to the Black Sea ports Through Baku-Supsa and Baku-Novorossiysk pipelines Azerbaijani and onwards to various international markets by tankers.
BTC pipeline transports Azerbaijani oil to the Mediterranean market and further to the international markets.
Azerbaijan exports oil to the European, Asian and U.S. markets through SOCAR Trading, which is a trading division of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
