GDP in Kyrgyzstan grow by 5.4% in 4 months

In January-April of this year, the growth rate of gross domestic product amounted to 5.4% - about KGS 203 billion, increased by 5.4% compared to January-April 202, the National Statistics Committee of Kyrgyzstan said. Excluding enterprises on the development of the Kumtor gold mine, the volume of GDP in January-April this year amounted to about KGS 189 billion, growing by 3.5%. In addition, the volume of industrial production in January-April 2022 amounted to about KGS 116 billion. "In comparison with January-April of last year, the volume of industrial production increased by 10.3% due to growth of volumes in production of basic metals and finished metal products," the report says. Positive trends were observed in construction, where the increase in volume amounted to 2.9%, agriculture - 2.2%, wholesale and retail trade - 6.9%.
