GCC Justice Ministers Endorse Mechanisms for Legal Practice

Abu Dhabi, November 22 (QNA) -GCC Justice Ministers at the end of their 23rd session of the Ministerial Council, held in Abu Dhabi have endorsed the draft regulatory guides and implementation mechanisms for legal practice for the citizens of the GCC countries. The Ministerial Council, chaired by UAE Justice Minister Dr. Hadef bin Joan Al Dhahiri, decided to form a Commission for officials of the departments of international cooperation and international relations of the Ministries of Justice of the GCC Member States, and assign the committees of experts to study a number of topics in the areas of judicial cooperation. UAE Minister Al Dhahiri said the ministers had agreed on a number of resolutions that boost solidarity and integration in the judicial and legal areas, adding that the coordination among the GCC countries in these fields, "is a model for cooperation and solidarity, and achievement of the vision of the GCC leaders for the best interest of their peoples." The ministers discussed the draft law for combat of cybercrimes, unified draft law for family courts and guide on measures for implementation of verdicts, prosecution, and judicial notifications of the GCC. They also discussed draft law of unified judicial authority, unified draft law for child rights and others. Qatar's delegation to the meeting was led by HE Minister of Justice Hassan Abdullah Al Ghanem. (QNA)
