French foreign minister says Syria has not made reforms it has committed

ANKARA (A.A) - France's foreign minister said on Friday that Syria had not made reforms it had committed. Alain Juppe said the Damascus regime did not want to implement reforms it had committed, now it was too late. France was working together with Turkey and Arab League regarding Syria, Juppe told reporters after a one-hour meeting with Volkan Bozkir, the chairperson of Turkish Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, in Ankara. Juppe said they were exerting efforts to pass a resolution condemning Syria from the United Nations (UN) Security Council, and Europe's sanctions were heavier today. The French foreign minister said they tried to cooperate with the Syrian opposition to prepare the future of the country, adding that the UN Security Council should adopt a resolution like a flight ban to Syria.
