Foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan since beginning of year amounts to USD 2.1 bln

Bishkek, May 18, 2022 / Kabar /. The foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan in January-March 2022 amounted to USD 2 billion 108.7 million and increased by 48.4% compared to January-March of 2021, Choro Seyitov, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, told during the press conference at Kabar Agency. He said that the growth in turnover is due to the opening of borders. “The export of Kyrgyzstan amounted to USD 367.1 million and decreased by 13.7%. Import receipts increased 1.7 times, amounting to USD 1,741.6 million or USD 762.5 million. The volume of mutual trade of the Kyrgyz Republic with the EAEU member states in January-March 2022 amounted to USD 835.4 million and increased by 21.3% compared to January-March 2021. The largest share of the republic’s mutual trade with the EAEU member states in January-March 2022 fell on Russia (68.6%) and Kazakhstan (29.6%),” the official said.
