Foreign Minister receives new Philippine Ambassador

Manama, June 8 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, today received copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver. The Minister hailed the distinguished bilateral relations, affirming Bahrain's keenness to take them to wider horizons. He took pride in the Philippine community's role in the development process taking place in Bahrain, wishing the ambassador success in his new diplomatic mission. Ambassador Ver lauded the development and progress in Bahrain in all fields, affirming his country’s resolve to uplift bilateral relations in the interest of the two countries. The two sides discussed topics of mutual interest.
