Foreign minister meets US special envoy on Daesh

Manama, Oct. 22 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa has reiterated the unflinching position of the Kingdom of Bahrain rejecting terrorism in all its forms and of all motives or justifications, reaffirming the country’s readiness to cooperate with all the efforts aiming to eliminate this dangerous plague that threatens all world countries without exception. The Minister made remarks as he received in his office today the Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIL (Daesh) General John Allen, currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, and reviewed with him all the efforts being exerted to combat the terrorist ISIS Organization. The Minister noted the positive role being played by the coalition member states to counter Daesh and fight terrorism, stressing that this war is essential to the security and safety of humanity. He also expressed confidence that the forces of good would succeed through all their efforts to keep the forces of evil at bay and eliminate them, no matter how long the war will last. General John Allen praised the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the fight against terrorism and in its endeavors to dry up Daesh funds, especially that the Kingdom is an important member of the global coalition, expressing his pride in the close Bahraini-US relations and the advanced level they have reached. The latest regional and international developments of common concern were also discussed.
