Foreign minister meets Cypriot counterpart

Manama, Mar. 9. (BNA) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa has met here his Cypriot counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides, as part of the current official visit of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his appreciation of the progress of Bahraini-Cypriot ties at all levels. He affirmed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to develop these relations towards further fruitful and constructive cooperation in various fields for the benefit of the two countries and their people. Shaikh Khalid affirmed the importance of such visits between top officials to support and develop cooperation fields between the two countries. The Minister of Foreign of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus praised the progress achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in various fields, wishing the Kingdom further development and prosperity. The two sides also discussed the latest regional and international developments and the means of further bolstering coordination on various issues to contribute in promoting security and stability in the region for the people’s benefit.
