Foreign Minister hails US pivotal role

Washington, Nov.21 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met with the US Deputy National Security Advisor, Avril Haines, and Middle East Affairs Adviser at the National Security Council, Robert Malley, in Washington as part of his current official visit to the US. They discussed the ongoing historic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US and the progress of these ties at all levels. The minister affirmed the importance of the role of the US in resolving crisis and various challenges in the region in cooperation with regional countries, in order to achieve the aspirations of their people to bolster security and stability. Ms Avril Haines expressed her appreciation to the role of the Bahrain in the region and its support to efforts to bolster security and stability as well as its keenness to positively communicate with countries across the world, affirming the continued commitment of the US to expand cooperation with the Kingdom in various fields.
