Foreign Minister attends OIC meeting

New York, Oct.1 (BNA): Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa today attended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, to discuss the Israeli incursions in occupied Jerusalem. The OIC delegations discussed ways of confronting the Israeli incursions on the holy sites, particularly Al-Quds Al-Sharif, in flagrant defiance of the international resolutions and the feelings of Muslims all over the world. They also discussed coordinating regional and international efforts and stances to halt illegal Israeli policies and consolidate Islamic presence in all internal arenas to achieve pan-Islamic interests and mobilise the international community for just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the UN Security Council resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
