FM:The World Must Stand With The Syrian People And Extend A Helping Hand To Them

BAGHDAD / NINA/ / Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari confirmed that the world should stand along with the Syrian people and extend a helping hand and provide the needs of displaced and migrants, pointing out that this phenomenon is not in Syria alone, but spread to Iraq as well. A statement of the Foreign Ministry quoted Jaafari as saying at the conclusion of his visit to Austria after the end of his participation in the meeting, which was held in the Austrian capital Vienna to discuss the Syrian crisis on an official invitation he received from US Secretary of State John Kerry: that terrorism in Syria leaked to Iraq and to other countries, adding that we told everyone to insist on facing terrorism and liberate Syria from the terrorist forces. He continued: that the gap was wide between the participants but it has shrunk to a large extent through the dialogue, adding that we had our word, during which we have identified the causes of the crisis as a neighboring State of Syria geographically and terrorism leaks from it. He added that the Syrian regime stay in power is a matter for the Syrian people, calling on countries in the world not to interfere in the internal affairs and take advantage from the Iraqi experience and how it could politically, militarily and security to be hold together despite the challenges as Iraqis stand together to confront terrorism. / End
