FM Calls On Germany To Continue Carrying Out The Tasks Entrusted To It Within The Framework Of The Int’l Coalition To Fight ISIS

Baghdad / NINA /- Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein called on Germany to continue carrying out the tasks entrusted to it within the framework of the international coalition to fight the terrorist organization ISIS. In a statement received by the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /, the ministry stated: “The Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the German Minister of Defense Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, at the headquarters of the German Ministry of Defense, and during the meeting, they discussed developments in the political and security situation in Iraq, and the existing coordination within the framework of the international coalition to fight ISIS terrorist organization." The minister praised the German military role and support for Iraq in confronting the terrorist organization ISIS, and the two sides also discussed ways to prevent the return of terrorist groups again. The minister renewed the call to the German side to continue carrying out the tasks entrusted to it within the framework of the international coalition to fight the terrorist organization ISIS, including training Iraqi forces, and providing intelligence and technical support.
