Flooding approaches Thai PM's residence

BANGKOK, November 7 (TNA) - Flooding has been approaching to Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's residence in Bangkok's Navamin area, as water has kept rising through nearby sewers. In Soi Yothin Pattana 3 on the Navamin Road, where the prime minister residence is located, a part of the community, some 100 metres from the premier's mansion, more water has been rising through roadside sewers along with some flooding from fields. Increasing water levels have also been observed in small canals in the area, at some 20-30 centimetres now. Other parts on the Navamin Road have already been submerged by floodwater, from 10-80 centimetres high, as government workers have used water pumps to urgently drain the excess water out from the road. Inundations, up to over 80 centimetres, have also submerged adjacent Ramintra Road and several roadside localities, causing impassable of small vehicles in many sections of the road. (TNA)
