First Kyrgyz-Finnish business meeting held in Bishkek

Bishkek, May 24, 2022. / Kabar /. The first Kyrgyz-Finnish business meeting was held in Bishkek with the participation of representatives of both government and business structures in the field of industry, pharmaceuticals, construction and the water sector. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the purpose of the meeting was to provide a platform for Kyrgyz and Finnish companies to establish contacts, as well as inform the Finnish side about the business climate and doing business in Kyrgyzstan. Thus, during the event, B2B and B2G meetings were held, during which the parties established contacts and exchanged views on possible ways to develop cooperation, the report said. The event of this format is held with the Finnish side for the first time and the parties agreed on the need to expand areas of cooperation aimed at developing tourism, increasing trade between the two countries, increasing the potential of domestic business and creating joint ventures. The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic with the assistance of the UNDP Aid for Trade project funded by the Government of Finland, as well as by the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Finland Petri Numinnen.
