Fifth Edition of Hya Abaya Expo Gets Underway

Doha, June 04 (QNA) - The fifth edition of Hya Abaya exhibition, which is being organized by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), opened Tuesday to the public at the Doha Exhibition Centre. The five-day Hya Abaya exhibition will showcase the region's finest fashion in abayas, and will feature a number of exhibitors to showcase the latest designs and trends for abayas, kaftans and evening gowns from Qatari and international designers, as part of the first exhibition of its kind in the region. Ibtihaj al Ahmadani, a board member of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), said this edition of the expo is characterized by the participation of more than 55 percent of Qatari female designers, stressing the significance of the exhibition in consolidating the position of Qatar in tourism field, especially in view of the significant increase in the number of exhibitors. "This increase demonstrates the success of the joint work between QTA and QCCI." (QNA)
