Manama, Oct. 17 (BNA): President of the Terror Crime Prosecution Advocate General Ahmed Al-Hammadi announced the completion of investigations into a case linked to manufacturing and possessing explosives in a warehouse in Dar Kulaib and joining a terror group.
He said 11 suspects, including seven held in custody, had been referred to the Higher Criminal Court for trial on November 26 on charges of possessing and manufacturing explosives, joining a terror cell and training in use of weapons and bombs.
The Public Prosecution received on June 4 a notification from the Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) about a terror group in Bahrain manufacturing and possessing explosives in a warehouse in Dar Kulaib to use them in terror operations inside the kingdom. The terror cell had received military training on using weapons and explosive devices in Iran and Iraq.
Seven out of 11 suspects were arrested and admitted to the charges leveled against them that included possessing and manufacturing explosives, joining a terror cell and receiving military training in Iran and Iraq on using weapons and bombs in order to carry out terror operations in Bahrain.
The Public Prosecution relied in its investigations on the testimony of the Public Security forces, investigation procedures, the confessions of the suspects and technical reports.
