Ethiopian Premier: Ethiopia Backs Qatar Efforts for Peace in Darfur

Khartoum, February 27 (QNA) - Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn, who is also Chairman of the current session of the African Union, has reaffirmed his country's keenness to support the efforts of the State of Qatar for peace in Darfur, pointing out that there is coordination between the two countries in this regard. In a press statement released here today, the Premier said that Ethiopia pay particular attention to the restoration of peace and stability in Sudan, "because what is going on in Sudan has effects directly and indirectly on Ethiopia, and we are with the return of stability." The Ethiopian Prime Minister described his country's relations with the State of Qatar as advanced in all fields, in a way that contributing to the strengthening of relations between the two countries.(QNA)
