Erdogan Assures Abadi Turkey's Support For Iraq's Sovereignty And Territorial Integrity

BAGHDAD / NINA / Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed, in a telephone call with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Turkey's support for Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Information Office of the Prime Minister said in a press statement: "Abadi received on Friday evening a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, congratulating him for the victories achieved by the Iraqi forces in the fight against Daesh in Mosul's operations." He added: "Erdogan expressed Turkey's support for Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity." Erdogan stressed that: "Turkey puts all its capabilities with Iraq in its war against this group that is offensive to Islam religion." He said: "Turkey is looking to an Iraqi victory very close in Mosul, which will be a message for those who want to target the brotherly relations between the two countries," stressing the importance of continuing the fight against the terrorist organizations in Iraq and Syria through unity and cooperation because the unity and stability of the neighboring countries is a top priority to Turkey.
