ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH AND TRAINING CENTER OPENED IN ARKHANGAI

Arkhangai /MONTSAME/ The opening ceremony of Khangai regional training and research center took place in Tsetserleg, center of Arkhangai aimag, on September 10. The center was established with financing of a project 'Biodiversity and Adaptation to Climate Change' under the agreement on non-refundable assistance between Governments of Mongolia and the Federal Republic of Germany. Opening of the center is advancing many works, including improving management efficiency of the Special Protected Areas of Mongolia, strengthening it comprehensively, conserving biodiversity as well as supporting sustainable livelihoods of the area, highlighted the officials. Present at the ceremony were Head of Development Cooperation at the Embassy of Germany in Mongolia Christian Glass, Head of Climate Change and Foreign Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism Kh.Batjargal, Governor of Arkhangai aimag Ts.Munkhnasan and coordinators of the project.
