Energy Minister receives UN official

Manama, May 7 (BNA): Energy Minister Dr. Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza received the New York-based UN's Assistant Secretary-General cum Regional Director for the Arab countries, Dr. Sima Bahouth, during her visit to the Kingdom. The meeting was attended by UNDP's Regional Representative Peter Grohmann, and several officials from the UNDP Office. The meeting discussed means of boosting the vistas of cooperation with the UNDP in the area of sustainable development and the provision of technical assistance by UNDP experts in various fields related to the energy sector as part of the themes of government action programmes.
